International Seminar
December 6th – 7th 2019
Castello del Valentino, Politecnico di Torino
The focus of this seminar is to facilitate an open, interdisciplinary discussion on the significance of changes in houses/housing in our contemporary world. The notion and constructs of houses/housing – repeatedly launched in a powerful and intellectually ambitious manner during the twentieth century – remain uncertain, suspended or incomplete. What is the significance of this uncertainty?
ReHab is organising an international seminar to kick off dialogue on this topic; participation starts with the submission of an Abstract, followed by a choice of two ways in which to present a more in-depth discourse on the topics involved. Participants may either present a Full Paper (either 20.000 or 40.000 characters), or send an outline of their own research on this topic. Should participations choose the latter option, they will be able to submit a Full Paper between December 2019 and February 2020.
A selection of the submitted material will be translated into English by the organisation and published by an international publisher. The Abstracts should present researches clearly illustrating how they relate to the empirical study material. The presentations should be structured using iconic and verbal material within the format of the presentations for the seminar which will be made available to the authors of the selected Abstracts after they have been accepted.
